This is Me - Sandwiches are gross

This is a post included in the This is Me series where I answer 1001 questions about myself as writing practice. Each post consists of me answering 5 questions about myself. Wanna share what you would answer to any or all of the questions? Do it in the comments section!

DO YOU BELIEVE IN "THE ONE"?

This seems like a very similar question to the "soulmates" question. Do I believe there is "one" person out there that is a "perfect match"? No. That is utter nonsense.

Believing in "the one" would mean that the majority of marriages out there are comprised of people who are NOT with "the one" because can you even imagine the astronomical probability that you are able to find "the one" out of the 7.753 billion people on the planet? The chance that you or I would be able to find that person is so ridiculously low. Which means that the overwhelming majority of people who are in happy and healthy relationships are with the wrong person.

You could respond to that with, "well, thats probably why so many relationships or marriages fail!" This statement is also ridiculous. What would our standard be then to determine if someone has in fact found "the one"? Logically you would only be able to determine that if the couple stayed together until death. Often times that happens and then people remarry even in their twilight years and have another happy, successful relationship.

I'll say it again, love is a choice. <3

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SPREAD...PEANUT BUTTER OR JELLY?

One thing I really struggle to remember about my childhood is the food that I ate. I have very limited memories about what my mom packed for me for lunch or what we normally ate for dinner. My mom wasn't a huge fan of cooking so maybe the lackluster attitude towards food in general is one of the reasons why I don't have strong memories about it.

I don't remember eating PB&J's as a kid and maybe I just never did because I've never been a huge fan of them as an adult either. The only jelly I tend to like is strawberry and I'm also not too keen on sandwiches in general. If I'm going to eat a sandwich it's going to be a Jimmy Johns tuna or a hot sandwich with melted cheese of some sort. Otherwise....pass.

Eating peanut butter out of the jar or with some apples or celery however...sign me up!

HOW DO YOU BLOW OFF STEAM?

I'm really struggling to answer this question. I think it has to do with the fact that I rarely get heated about things. If I am really angry or frustrated about something, I typically like to vent to someone (sorry Paul) or spend time alone thinking or writing out my feelings. I would say talking about it though is probably my preferred method. I don't normally verbally process my feelings, but when I'm angry or frustrated that seems to help the most.

WHAT DO YOU PREFER...HEAT OR COLD?

You can always add more clothes to get warmer. When it's crazy hot you can be naked and still be crazy hot.

This has always been my thought process when it comes to being hot or cold. I generally dislike sweating as well. I will say though that I have never lived in a place that is persistently cold. Maybe if I lived in Montana or Wisconsin for a year or two I would have a more balanced perspective?

DO YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF TO BE A FAITHFUL PERSON?

I'm not quite sure I know how to take this question. Faithful by what definition? Like faithful to my husband? 100%. Faithful as in dependable to people in my life with whom I have relationships with? Probably more like 85%. Faithful to God and my belief in Christianity? I try but I fail a lot. I tend to let my fear of man interfere often and thus am not as faithful to God as I would like to be. I guess you could say that like most of us, I'm a work in progress.
