Monthly Recap

Feb 1

This month started out with a super fun day celebrating Paul’s birthday. He had to work on his actual birthday so we celebrated on New Years day by hitting up The Toasted Yolk for breakfast and then going to play some golf. The temps were chilly but we prepared and we ended up having the best time!! We played the full 18 executive course and then stopped at Lynettes house afterward for hot cocoa. We were SPENT afterward and hung out in the hot tub for a bit and then chilled the rest of the night.

The rest of the month dragged and flew by all at the same time. I spent most of the month waiting, waiting, waiting to hear about the job. Even had a second conversation with them. Even by the end of the month, still nothing. Very frustrating. Lots of time spent with friends at various lunches and dinners. We got hit with some really cold temps which of course, shut down most of the city. Prepped for the Womens Well retreat and spent a lot of time reading and crocheting. Have a new opportunity with a friend for some leadership development coaching and also had a couple of reels go viral.

We played a lot of games with Travis and Jess on the weekends and funnest development of the month - we sold our couch and got two new leather couches. I think they are going to suit our needs really well and we are so excited for them. Also sold our un-comfy rocking chairs and got a new outdoor set as well. Sold both chairs and the couches to neighbors which made it super easy!! Winning!!

Studying/Bible verse that impacted you the most?

Back to BSF this month and we are in John and I am just loving it so much. I absolutely love how deep BSF takes you into the Bible. I love the focus on one book and going through it systematically. John is all about Jesus - who he is, why he came, what he did for us. The biggest impact for me this month I think is just how me meets each one of us so personally. He intimately knows each one of us and what makes us tick and that is just so special. We don’t have to do anything great or be anything great - but he still cares, he still knows and he still loves. Its such a beautiful reminder of how I should be treating those in my life.

Favorite Memory from the month?

It was at the very beginning of the month, but celebrating Paul’s birthday and playing golf in the 40' weather was just so much fun. Despite the cold temps, it was a gorgeous day and we all had a blast playing when none of us have played in forever! Such a fun memory.
