November 2022
November, November, November. A good month but also tough. I ended up getting sick TWICE this month which contributed to the toughness of the month. One week I had a bad head cold and as soon as I was on the mend I had a lovely 24 hours of food poisoning. Blech. We did also enjoy lots of time with friends - mainly Ryan and Maddy who just moved to TX and are about an hour and a half from us and a couple of fun Baylor tailgate and games.
Paul had lots of fun stuff to do this month as well including building and installing a murphy bed, fixing a toilet and beginning work on a friends house that was flooded and had some major damage.
We also had a wonderful Thanksgiving and had a great time decorating our new house for Christmas! For the past few years we haven’t really had a great opportunity to decorate/celebrate Christmas at home because we’ve either been getting ready to travel, traveling or living in the camper. So this year we are really enjoying using the decorations we had and getting some new things as well to really give our house a cozy Christmas feel.

Studying/Bible verse that impacted you the most?
I missed going to BSF twice this month and then we were off for Thanksgiving week. So I’ve been missing that time connecting with the ladies, but I’ve still been really enjoying our study in 2nd Kings and Chronicles. I’ve specifically loved learning more about Elijah and Elisha.
Favorite Memory from the month?
There was a lot to cherish this month (in between the sickness) but overall I think I really enjoyed decorating our house for Christmas. For so many years of our marriage we have been out of sorts for the holidays…either traveling or getting ready to move. It’s so nice to finally be able to decorate a house we love knowing that we will be here for a while. It’s our first Christmas in our house here in Waco and we are loving every minute.
