June 2023
How to sum up the month of June?
First, I just have to say on the record how much I am enjoying putting these monthly recaps. I know that literally NO ONE reads them but I couldn't care less. It's a great way for me to document my life in a way that is easily accessible and means something to me. I love going back through the month and remembering what happened - the good and the bad- and reliving what I experienced. I am finding that the more I do this, the more I remember just in general which I also love.
This month started pretty much with our 12 year anniversary in which we spent a fun filled day doin our favorite thing, hanging out together! This month we also thought we were going to have a pool dropped - and then found out we weren't. We took a realllly long drive to NM and visited with my parents and then also went down to El Paso to see Kyle, Zoi and Serena and her fam. Paul dug a huge hole, I booked some new clients and the temps soared above 100. I started co-leading a interesting book club and Paul and I did a Bible study every morning.
Paul had to go to the Doc for something in his eye, I had a little nail party, did some organizing around the house and went over to the neighbors for a dinner party.
Not my favorite month of the year so far, but hey they can't all be amazing right?

Studying/Bible verse that impacted you the most?
Paul and I have been doing a study of Mark this month together. We’ve been going through a his and hers study from The Daily Grace Co and we have been enjoying it. Sometimes we read aloud, sometimes we read on our own and then go through specific insights from what we read. It’s been interesting to read this at the same time as we’ve watched Season 2 & 3 of The Chosen. That’s been so interesting since watching that show really brings a lot of the text to life in a way that I’ve never really experienced before. It’s been really enjoying to watch and read the same time. God has been continuing to provide me with a hunger for his word. Have been asking for open eyes to see and open ears to hear what He has for me as we continue on into the 2nd half of the year.
Favorite Memory from the month?
I don’t know that it is a favorite, but the moment we found out that the pool was not coming. This was TWO days before it was supposed to be dropped in the whole. The news was so shocking that I couldn’t even really process it for a while. I’m fine with delays but I’d like to be a little more prepared for them rather than finding out SO CLOSE that it’s not happening. So many feelings tied up in all of that, but that will likely be a moment that I don’t forget any time soon.
