November 2023

This month started slow and ended with a bang. Kind of the opposite of last month! The weather finally got quite a bit cooler. I worked a lot on prepping for next year all while waiting and praying about a potential opportunity that might change a lot for me. Won’t get an answer until December so God is really helping me with my patience.

I had a friend visit and spent some time with other friends from church throughout the month which is always such a blessing. Paul spent most of the month working and it’s going really well. We finally got our “big” hot tub delivered and boy is it nice. We are really enjoying spending time in it in the evenings. We gave the old one to Sam and Jeff and they love it!

The month rounded out with Kyle and Serina coming to visit us for Thanksgiving which went so well. They are so fun to be around and I’m so glad they made the drive. Travis and Jessica also came in time for Thanksgiving and for the cruise! So we spent a few fun days all together eating, resting and playing games. We visited our WA fam who was all up at Ryan and Maddies for Thanksgiving - so that was also super awesome.
We left on the 26th and drove down to Galveston for our 2nd cruise. The ship was MUCH bigger than the last one and we all kind of had mixed feelings about it. Liked the other ship a little better but the Solarium on the bigger ship was super awesome. Quiet and lots of space. We all had a great time despite some challenges here and there. One thing was for sure, we laughed a LOT. Paul and I secured our next cruise which we think will be to Alaksa. We didn’t book it yet, but I’m hoping to get it booked in the next 60 days or so!

Now it’s time to focus on getting a tree and enjoying some hopefully restful time during the Christmas season!

Studying/Bible verse that impacted you the most?

Only a few weeks of BSF this month b/c of Thanksgiving and the cruise. Artios is also going well and even though we are doing a high level overview, I feel like I’m learning or grasping something new every time I open the word. One thing that’s been sitting with me for a while now is how Jesus was often in big crowds but sought out individuals. He wanted to make those personal connections because He knew they would have the largest impact. I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently.

Favorite Memory from the month?

Well, anytime we take a cruise that is going to be a memory that will last for a while. Having Kyle and Serina and Travis and Jessica at our house for Thanksgiving was pretty awesome as well though. We haven’t had a real “holiday” meal with friends and family both in attendance in a really long time and it was so nice to have everyone over, lots of good food, and of course lots of laughs. So thankful and blessed.
