October 2022
With October comes amazingly beautiful and cooler weather! Finally after a brutal, brutal summer. Paul was gone for the first part of the month - and while the Alb house project took longer than expected, we were so happy Paul was able to get all the work done in a decently short period of time!
I stayed very busy going to all of the groups I have signed up for this Fall. I for sure bit off more than I could chew but I am working diligently to make sure everything gets done. I will re-evaluate the activities I want to prioritize for next year as I do some goal planning in the next few months.
We have been in the house for a full 8 months now and its really starting to feel like home. A very comfortable home. With our patio extended and the majority of the inside projects mostly complete, we’ve been feeling more settled which is really nice! We are looking forward to celebrating the holidays in a house (and not in a camper or about to move)! Throughout our entire marriage, we have been in limbo for a lot of holidays so this year will be nice to be in one place!

Studying/Bible verse that impacted you the most?
So many good ones this month. Really enjoying Bible Study Fellowship and learning so much from the Old Testament which I honestly didn’t think was possible. We’ve been in the end of 1 Kings and I’ve really enjoyed the stories of Elijah and especially how he challenged the prophets of Baal with such boldness and confidence. And even after that and God did exactly what he promised, Elijah was still tired and discouraged and basically wanted to die. It just really paints a picture of the fact that our relationship with God is ongoing and even though people may SEE God so plainly, there will still be some who reject and turn their eyes away.
Favorite Memory from the month?
I really enjoyed going to watch the filming of the Silos Baking competition! It was not at all what I expected, but it was so fun to see it all go down from behind the scenes and I’m so looking forward to the episodes coming out to see if I made it in any of the shots!
